Single Protein Dry Food
Behind the names single protein , mono-protein or single protein is quite simply the use of only one type of meat or protein source in dog food. Dogs usually do not tolerate a certain protein or even react allergic to it. Then it is important to avoid this protein source in the food. In this case PERRO offers an enormous choice with its Select and Grain Free lines : no matter whether it is horse, lamb or ostrich dry food - PERRO has many types of meat in its range which have a reduced allergy potential due to their rare use in the conventional feed industry.
Grain-free dry food
For dogs that are sensitive to certain types of grain or to grain in general, grain-free food should end up in the bowl. PERRO offers 16 different types of grain-free dry food with the Grain Free line and also with Select . From puppy food to senior food without grains - everyone will find what they are looking for! In addition, our grain-free varieties are also single-protein foods - i.e. dog food with only one selected type of meat. This makes feeding your pet much easier for many owners of very sensitive dogs.
Gluten-free dry food
Some dogs are allergic to gluten, i.e. the gluten protein in cereals. For us humans, this allergy is known as "celiac disease". However, not all grains contain gluten. Millet and rice, for example, are gluten-free grains and can be fed to dogs with gluten intolerance. If you want to be on the safe side, simply choose grain-free products, because grain-free always means gluten-free. Therefore, the products from the Grain Free line can be fed to dogs with gluten allergies.
Dog food with insect protein
PERRO dry dog food with insect protein is hypoallergenic. This means that it has a very low allergy potential and is therefore suitable for dogs with intolerances and allergies. It is easy to explain why this is so: insects are usually a source of protein that the body has not come into contact with before. Therefore, most dogs are not allergic to insect protein.
