Insects as the sole source of protein (single protein) offer an excellent alternative to conventional meat. With a biological value of 85%, the insect protein it contains provides all the essential amino acids your dog needs for an active, healthy life. It is also particularly easy to digest, making it ideal for dogs with sensitive digestion or known food allergies.
Amaranth and sweet potatoes act as carbohydrate sources.
Amaranth is not a real grain but a gluten-free pseudo-cereal and a real nutrient booster. It has a very low allergenic potential and therefore rarely triggers intolerances.
Sweet potatoes provide long-lasting energy thanks to their complex carbohydrates. The fibre it contains promotes healthy digestion and ensures that dogs feel full quickly.
PERRO INSECT is grain- and lactose-free and, thanks to its high palatability, is popular even with fussy dogs. Omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids support skin health and ensure a shiny coat. Zinc, iron and calcium provide additional valuable minerals for a strong immune system, stable bones and general vitality.
In addition to the nutritional benefits, PERRO INSECT also impresses with its sustainable philosophy: Compared to traditional protein sources such as beef, the production of insect protein produces up to 95% less CO₂, water consumption is drastically reduced (112,000 litres for beef vs. 23,000 litres for insects) and the resource yield is significantly more efficient - because 100% of the insect can be utilised, compared to only around 40% for beef.
