Hurtta replacement twist buckle "Spare Twist Buckle" - repair made easy!

A damaged twist buckle on the elasticated strap doesn't have to mean the end of your equipment - you can easily replace it yourself with the right spare part.

First measure the width of the elasticated belt to select the correct size of replacement twist buck le. If only one side of the buckle is defective, you can usually repair it yourself without any problems:

Carefully undo the stitching at the end of the strap or cut the end straight.
Then slide the new swivel buckle into the correct position and thread the belt through the existing adjustment buckle. Important: Once you have cut the strap, briefly seal the cut edge with a lighter to prevent fraying. An additional seam is usually not necessary - as soon as the strap is threaded through, everything holds securely.

If both sides of the buckle are damaged, it is advisable to consult a tailor or cobbler to have the repair carried out professionally. This will extend the life of your equipment, reduce waste and prepare you for many more adventures - all in the spirit of sustainable responsibility.
