Can you mix dry food and wet food?

Both types of food have their advantages. Wouldn't it make sense to combine dry and wet food? In principle, of course, this is possible. However, caution is advised and the following things should be known and taken into account:

• Feed quantity: since the two types of feed have different energy values, this must be taken into account in the portion design.
• Digestion time: Digestion time: Different feed components (wet and dry food) have different digestion times. We know this ourselves, because the roast pork lies longer in the stomach than the turkey fillet.
• Sensitive dogs: especially with sensitive dogs, owners often report bloating, diarrhea or constipation when mixing food types. Therefore, it is important to monitor your dog closely so that such changes can be detected quickly and acted upon accordingly. For these dogs, we recommend sticking with the type of food your four-legged friend tolerates well.
• Our tip: If you decide to feed both types of food, simply split it into 2 meals. So, for example, dry food in the morning and wet food in the evening.
