The BRAVA pants for dogs in heat made of softshell are comfortable to wear and easy to put on. The breathable material is hand washable at 30° and dries very quickly.
The dog protection trousers have a practical mesh pocket for handkerchiefs or other hygiene inserts. Floors, furniture and textiles are optimally protected against stains. Of course, the well thought-out dog protection pants can also be worn by dogs with bladder weakness and associated incontinence.
The BRAVA trousers for dogs in heat can be opened at the back. The hind legs are passed through the trouser openings and the protective panty is closed at the back with Velcro. There is a cut-out for all types of rods. This also keeps the trousers in place and prevents them from slipping.
The elastic bands on both sides are adjustable so that the hygiene panties can be optimally adjusted.
Application:
- Get your dog used to the protective pants before his first heat.
- Place a sanitary napkin, a disposable hygiene towel or a paper towel in the inside pocket.
- Pass the hind legs through the openings of the protective pants.
- Place the tail in the opening.
- Adjust the elastic waistband.
What does heat mean?
The heat of the female dog is also called heat period and is the fertile phase (oestrus phase) of the sexual cycle. From the first heat, the female dog is sexually mature. This time depends on the breed of the bitch.
The first signs of being in heat are an increased need to mark and an increased interest in the scent marks of other dogs. The urine of a female dog indicates to the male dog the correct time for mating. This is around the 7-21 day of heat, depending on female dog.
The heat usually lasts 3 - 4 weeks and is repeated after 6 - 8 months, depending on the dog and breed. The heat phase lasts until old age, but usually becomes weaker and less frequent.
