These fun little play animals will delight any cat!
The colourful animals are made of recycled polyester and filled with North American catnip. Catnip causes most house cats to develop extreme interest in the smell and then frolic exuberantly. The cat's natural catching and hunting instincts are thus encouraged - and exercise is known to be healthy!
The colourful animals are especially sturdy to withstand the sharp cat claws as best as possible. The seams are also double stitched. Additional filling material - apart from catnip - is deliberately omitted. The recycled material gives plastic a second life and therefore makes an important contribution to sustainability.
Our TIP:
Only give your cat the catnip toy to play with for about 20-30 minutes at a time. This will keep the cat interested in the scent for longer and he will be excited every time you take out his toy!
What you always wanted to know about catnip:
Catnip or also called cat balm probably has an effect on cats because it gives off a pheromone-like scent. Not every cat reacts in the same way to the scent, but about 70-80% do. This can be calming, relaxing, but also downright euphoric. Some cats feel almost magically attracted to it, but kittens in particular usually react very little to it. The exact effect has not yet been scientifically proven. So just try it out for yourself and see what your cat thinks!
